LAST WEEK OF “FESTIVAL TORIBA MUSICAL” HAS STRING QUARTET, RECITES WITH LYRICS SINGERS AND STILL THE SINGING GIRLS OF CAMPOS DO JORDÃO
The unprecedented comes to an end Festival Toriba Musical, that from 23 September held at Hotel Toriba thirty live musical performances with an audience presence - the first in Brazil after the coronavirus pandemic began.
This last week the program has three more presentations, always on Fireplace Room of the Toriba, to 19 hours.
In on wednesday, 25 Nov, a soprano Adriana Bernardes, accompanied at the piano by Antonio Luiz Barker, makes a tasty program with popular songs, classics from the Brazilian and international repertoire. Among them “Moon river”, “Over the rainbow”, “I know I will love you”, “Azulão”, “Life in pink” and, to close in style, the famous waltz “Voices of Spring”, by Strauss.
In Friday, 27 Nov, the Amabile Quartet back to Sala da Lereira with a program that mixes the classic and the popular. In the first part, classics by Carlos Gardel (“By a head”), Astor piazzolla (“Libertango”) and Ennio Morricone (“Paradise cinema”). In the second part, the first of Beethoven's string quartets, the “Op Quartet. 18 N 1” - paying tribute to the great German composer in this year in which the 250 years of your birth.

To close the week, and the Festival Toriba Musical, no Saturday, 28 Nov, a double program. The Singing Girls from Campos do Jordão, Jordanian children's and youth choir sponsored by the Hotel Toriba, presents himself interpreting the “Ave Maria” of Gounod and “Edelweiss”, song of the musical A Noviça Rebelde. The group has as its conductor Iago Nogueira; at the piano will be Antonio Luiz Barker.
Soon after, a lyrical music show, with soprano Flávia Albano and the tenor Thiago Soares, accompanied at the piano by Antonio Luiz Barker. The program starts with Broadway musical songs, among them “All I ask of you”, of The Phantom of the Opera, and “Can’t Help Lovin’ That Man”, the Show Boat. After, in solos and duets, famous opera songs, including “Quando m'en vo”, by La Bohème, “The woman is mobile”, de Rigoletto, and “Let's free in the happy glasses”, popularly known as “Brindisi”, of La Traviata.
