Another intensely musical week at Hotel Toriba, with chamber music and lyrical music

This week, the festival “Winter Music from the Magic Mountain”, realization of Hotel Toriba, in Campos do Jordao, has chamber music and lyrical music recitals.

On Wednesday, 25 August, the attraction is the Rossi-Almeida duo, formed by Juan Rossi, violin, and Bruno Almeida, Viola. The program has works for violin and viola by J. S. Bach, Haydn, Wieniawski, Monti and Mozart, this with the “Duo in G major K 423”.

On Friday, 27 August, another show “Italy in Mantiqueira”, with the baritone Rodolfo Giugliani and the pianist Antonio Luiz Barker. In the varied repertoire, arias of Italian operas and Italian and Brazilian popular songs.

On Saturday, 28 August, the attraction is double: a soprano Karen Stephanie and the baritone Johnny France. Accompanied on the piano by Antonio Luiz Barker, the two singers, in solos and duets, interpret arias from operas by Puccini, Bizet, Rossini, Gounod e Lehár. Among the highlights, “Live art”, aria for soprano from the Tosca opera, by Puccini; “Make way for the factotum”, aria for baritone from the opera The Barber of Seville, of Rossini, and “silent lips”, duet of the operetta A Viúva Alegre, de Lehar.
