The global phenomenon celebrates the 50 years of “Waterloo” and arrives in the country in April 2024 with eight performances full of timeless classics with the participation of the London National Symphony Orchestra
One of the biggest phenomena in world pop music, ABBA THE SHOW confirms the long-awaited tour of Brazil, with eight shows in the country's main cities, what will happen from 26 April to 04 May 2024 in shows which will feature members of the London National Symphony Orchestra and musicians from the original line-up.
The band is about to arrive in the country for electrifying shows, promising to take fans on a magical journey through the incredible story of the iconic Swedish quartet.
It will be a tribute to 50 years of the song “Waterloo“, which was originally written as a song for the Eurovision Song Contest 1974, after the group finished in third place with “Ring Ring” in the previous year.
The song's lyrics are about a woman who surrenders to a man and promises to love him., making reference to the Battle of Waterloo which took place in 1815 and where Napoleon was defeated and was forced to surrender and go into exile on the Island of Saint Helena. The song proved to be a good choice. Won the Melodifestivalen 1974 (in Swedish) in February and won the Eurovision Song Contest 1974 (ESC) in 6 April.
“ABBA THE SHOW” It's a global phenomenon, performing five times as many shows as the original lineup in the years 60, totaling 714 presentations for more than 2 million viewers in more than 40 countries.
Success is indisputable, with three sold out shows at the Hollywood Bowl (2004, 2009 and 2010) and a remarkable presentation for more than 70 thousand people in the Anhangabaú valley, in São Paulo, in 2011.
In Brazil, the band will perform its first show in Curitiba, no day 26 April 2024 (Saturday), passing, then, by Florianópolis in 27 April 2024 (Sunday) and Porto Alegre the next day, 28 April. After, the group heads to Goiânia where he will perform at day 30 April 2024 (farm) and disembarks in the largest city in Latin America, São Paulo, for show at day 01 May 2024 (Fourth). The next day, it's time to Brasilia (02/05/2024 – farm). In 03 May 2024 (Friday), the band passes through the capital of Minas Gerais Belo Horizonte, ending with a flourish Ribeirão Preto no day 04 May 2024 (Saturday).

Formed by Camila Dahlin, Katja Nord Mats Ronander, Jan Schaffer, Oof Anderson, and musicians who accompanied the quartet, including Lasse Jonsson and Finn Sjobërg, as well as members of the London National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Matthew Freeman, the show proposes a journey through time on a magical journey through the history of ABBA, when Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha Frida performed together.
