New space dedicated to the arts in Asa Norte, the mini gallery How much more receives its third exhibition and opens a call for artists

Collection of works by the visual artist Carmen Saint Thiago, reviews his career and presents the latest production
It's here to stay. The central area of Plano Piloto now has another environment for visual arts appreciation. Distinct from exclusive spaces for fine arts exhibitions, on the mini gallery How much more visitors have an immersive experience.
In a merger between gastronomy, with the services of how much coffee, landscaping, with modern tropical references, and artworks, exposed on one of the walls, who sits at the tables, arranged in the gallery, feel part of an installation.
Active since the beginning of the year, to How much more already received the artists Alexandre Coelho, Rodrigo Machado and Daniel Band. The next collection presented has the signature of the visual artist Carmen Saint Thiago which is on display in 12 March to 11 April, with free visitation of Monday to Sunday, from 9h to 7:00 pm.
Entitled “How much do you remember?”, the show brings together twenty-two canvases of acrylic and watercolor paintings with part of the artist's most recent production. In this collection, Carmen portrays everyday scenes that are part of the collective imagination. “It's my favorite subject.. spontaneous, free, that is so comprehensive that it can assume a role of calm and pure aesthetics or clash with protest”, details the artist, that instigates “the intention is to touch the audience in some way and, through simple references, rescue nostalgic feelings”.
Among the works on display is “The Host”, an acrylic on canvas 2016. The canvas won the SESC Award 2017 Candido Portinari Painting. The painting depicts the commercial court of 205 North, with the host represented by the artist, poet and performer Vanderlei Costa, “a dear friend and one of my favorite living models”, tells the artist.
