Registrations are open for the Museum of the vacation courses of engraving city of Curitiba, with classes 8 from January to 2 February. They will be offered the linocut courses, lithograph, screen printing, drawing, illustration and a theoretical and practical workshop on publications and artist books. One of the courses offered is the linocut technique in "Lost Matrix". The technique was developed by Picasso 1958, because of the difficulties he faced when he decided to print a color linocut with multiple arrays, one for each color. In this technique the artist prints each color in turn, and so on, digging every new impression. At the end, You will have a colored engraving but the array can no longer be reused, due to various cuts suffered.
With guidance of artist Everly Giller, the course aims to broaden knowledge about the art of engraving and more specifically linocut, as well as guide the student in carrying out each step, thus collaborating to develop their artistic potential. The course covers the history of linoleum, the image creation process, linocut techniques of artistic (basics in black / white and color, textures, lines, volume and shadows), the burning and printing process, the numbering conventions, title and signature.
The courses take place in engraving workshops, at Solar do Barão (S. Carlos Cavalcanti, 533). Check all options:
