Party “Chapada's Christmas” celebrates 25 years and fundraising in Brasília

From 17 to 19 December in Vila de São Jorge (GO)

From 17 to 19 in December Vila de São Jorge will receive Santa Claus with workshops, jokes, shows, bingo and forró show for the delivery of collected donations.

In 1996 a group of artists and businessmen from Brasília celebrated their visit to São Jorge, in Chapada dos Veadeiros (Goiás), and realized the lack of cultural activities for children. Soon he was mobilized to pay homage to Children's Day. The action, over time, became the Chapada's Christmas.

Since then, several partnerships of supporting artists have emerged who carry out workshops, jokes, shows, bingo and a forró show, with the right to a championship for registered couples. All these activities involve families and also the Vila São Jorge Culture Spaces. The local business community helps with the installation of the celebration's artists and producers. The arrival of Santa Claus is also much awaited in the Capela Community. Since then, every end of the year the artists gather for the big party in the city. An improvement that completes twenty-five years of joy in 2021.

This year, the activities will take place days 17 and 18 of december (Friday and Saturday) in the village of São Jorge, with cinema for the family, musical procession and gift delivery and day 19 of december (Sunday) in the Chapel Community. All security protocols against Covid-19 will be followed.
