“The other way around…may not be what it is” titles the exhibition that opens the V744 Atelier, in this Saturday, 18 September, to 16h. This shows, visual artist Vilma Rattle, creator of the initiative, presents works carried out in the last year and a half, in the context of the pandemic.

In this scenario, in which many galleries closed their doors and many artists migrated to the digital space, as a possibility of dissemination, fruition and dialogue, born the V744 Atelier. Segundo Vilma Rattle, is a place to create and exhibit contemporary art. It will host exhibitions by guest artists, but proposals from creators who are developing their research and production in all languages will also be accepted., with relevance, in contemporary art.

The exhibition
“The other way around…may not be what it is” presents works done by Vilma Sonaglio in the last year and a half, in the pandemic period. The artist exhibits three photographic series that metaphorically reflect her thinking about this period of social isolation. Bring, also, issues of materialization of the virtual; works created to be aired virtually are, now, materialized, taking another look at the works. Altogether, are 18 works with varied dimensions, from 100cmx100cm to 50cmx50cm.
Master in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Vilma Sonaglio held solo and group exhibitions in Brazil, Germany and Mexico. The main distinctions are the acquisition award from the Museum of Art of Brasília, Porto Seguro Contemporary Research Award, Contemporary Sacred Art Salon Award. Nominated for the Açorianos Award. Today he lives and works in the city of Porto Alegre.
