Art in the form of a new beginning. A vernissage that translates self-esteem, rediscoveries and overcoming through paintings on canvas. The event conceived by the Jerusalem Cultural Center (CCJ), in partnership with the Adopted Project, will happen the next day 31, from 9 a.m.. All in all will be displayed 110 paintings that will be available for sale with more 10 canvases that will be painted live.

Artists are people who have been recovered from the streets, crime and addictions, being "adopted" by this project that has been in existence for two years and which has as headquarters / shelter, a place in Capivari, in Duque de Caxias, where adoptees are welcomed into a new home, receive food, medical treatments, spiritual help and learn a new profession through incentive measures by the creators. “The special guests for these artists will be family members. The adoptees' vernissage comes to show families that yes, there will always be a second chance to start over. Our mission is to recover people and show how much they have values ​​”, tells Gabriela Marques, one of the creators of the Project.

Vernissage will open with a coffee break. In the timeline are videos about the project and behind the scenes production of the pieces; a prayer in honor of those adopted; the accounts of life of some of them; free ceramic painting for interaction with guests and painting course on canvas.

Admission costs $ 25 and the space has free parking. The use and masks is mandatory. The Jerusalem Cultural Center is located on Avenida Dom Hélder Câmara, 4242, in Del Castilho.
