The Art Museum of the river-SEA, under the management of the Institute Odeon, closes this fall successful seasons of immersive room "FLOW" and the exhibition "Mulambo - All Our", in the days 22 and 28 of december, respectively. In the year that launched its first interactive space and opened a new gallery in the Library, MAR received, until 15 of december, around 637 thousand visitors, 36% more than the total recorded in 2018.
Developed by the company SuperUber, "FLOW" explores the continuous movement, fluid, spontaneous and offers visitors a sensory experience. Upon entering the dark room, the public realize that your footprints create traces that connect to a core where images and sounds inspired by the exuberant nature of Rio de Janeiro come from all sides. Constellations, waters, storms and ancestral paths are projected on screens that surround and transport visitors to a space-time other, out of history, free starts-means-ends.
Free inaugurating the exhibition space of the Library and Documentation Center SEA, the first solo exhibition of Mulambo Rio brings together drawings and paintings made in different media, as paper, cardboard, surf board, flag, among others, that dialogue with the daily life of the city and its identity relations. According to the artist, his work "was born of the need to find a place. A place where one goes barefoot and art with his feet on the ground, because it has no museum in the world as the home of our grandmother. Therefore, I speak of people like me, using materials that meet in places where I live ".
