Registration for the photo contest Prix ​​Photo Alliance Française 2018 They can be made by each and every photographer, physical person, largest 18 years and resident in Brazil, from 03 September to 07 October 2018, for free. Interested parties should access the contest website www.prixphotoaf.com.br, fill in the registration form and send 10 images inspired by the theme "But where is the water?”, which invites photographers from Brazil to direct their views on the importance of water in our daily lives. Images can be in color or in black and white, manipulated or not, obtained through analog or digital equipment. The cultural contest is sponsored by the Alliance Française General Delegation of Brazil with the support of Air France, Hotel Sofitel authorized by Caixa, C.A.nº 3-6912/2018.

Materials winners will be selected by a technical jury composed of the following participants: Eugenio Savio, degree in journalism (UFMG), Master in Communication and Culture (UFRJ), photographer and photography professor and journalism at the PUC Minas. The portfolios of the three winners participate, yet, of traveling exhibitions by the French Alliances in Brazil and abroad. The opening exhibition will be in the Gallery of the French Alliance Rio de Janeiro, scheduled for March 2019.

The theme of the eighth edition of this important photography contest "But where is the water?” or "But where is the water?"I was proposed by the French historian and professor at the University of La Rochelle, in France, Olivier Laurent Vidal. Laurent is history researcher in Brazil and the Americas and sought with this theme inspire photographers on the importance of water in our lives and in our cities. According to him, often only we realize its importance, when it is invisible or overflows. The researcher leaves the photographers participating, the invitation to find out or fragile trace of water in our daily lives.

The PRIX PHOTO ALLIANCE FRENCH, formerly known under the title Prix Photo Web is a photo contest sponsored by the General Delegation of the Alliance Française of Brazil.
