Until September, Intervenções das Artes occupies the 1st floor with five works by great Brazilian artists
Shopping Leblon celebrates the fourth consecutive year as ArtRio's official shopping mall with shows Arts Interventions. In addition to the physical presence at the fair, with support in guided tours, This year, in an unprecedented way, five works by great Brazilian artists can be seen on the 1st floor of the mall, until 12 September, when the 11th edition of the event ends. Works by Luiz Philippe artists are on display, Marcus duarte, Alexandre Vogler, Marcelo Jácome and Antonio Bokel. "We are proud of this partnership. We believe in art and in the importance of valuing countless Brazilian artists”, says the superintendent of Shopping Leblon, Rodrigo Lovatti.
The giant scale lamps by Marcos Duarte are side by side with the cross-legged chair and the stone suitcases by Luiz Philippe. The big piece of colored wood, called Nave in Alexandre Vogler's creation contrasts with the lightness and playful image of the colorful kites that seem to fly over the corridors, installed by Marcelo Jácome.
Security measures
Shopping Leblon reaffirms its commitment to fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and the safety of its customers and employees, adopting the protocols recommended by health organizations with social distance, disinfection and sanitization procedures throughout the enterprise. In addition, in all accesses to the mall, the use of masks and the temperature of customers are checked.

Professor at the Arts Institute of UERJ, PhD in Visual Languages from the School of Fine Arts / UFRJ, participated in important international events such as the X Havana Biennial, Portikus Frankfurt, and X Biennial of Mercosul. He also presented solo shows at the Paço Imperial (RJ- 2018), Centro Cultural São Paulo (2009) and CRUARB Gallery (Porto, Portugal - 2000). Resident artist of the Ateliers da Lada Program (Porto, Portugal - 2000/2001) e FLAT Residency (Amsterdam/Netherlands – 2010).

artist from Minas Gerais, graduated in Industrial Design, resided at Frans Krajcberg's atelier in Montpernasse, in France. Held important individual shows, like in the National Museum of Fine Arts, when he first presented his "Stone Suitcases", and at Casa França Brasil. Abroad, exhibited at The Economist Art Gallery, of London / UK, when he had one of his works purchased by the Beatle George Harrison, and in Rome, in Candido Portinari Gallery, of the Embassy of Brazil. On ArtRio 2020, had his new works “Sorte” and the series “Caixas” presented at the space of Marcia Barrozo do Amaral Galeria de Arte.

Visual artist born in Rio de Janeiro, has a strong relationship with the city Using a material repertoire from popular commerce, proposes formal agencies, chromatic, literals and symbolics of the artifacts he decides to work. Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from Universidade Santa Úrsula (RJ), he also attended the Parque Lage School of Visual Arts (RJ). His experiences are manifested in an intersection between painting, the architecture, the drawing and the object. Nominated for the Pipa Award (RJ) in 2014, his works have already been exhibited in spaces such as Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian in Lisbon (EN), Saatchi Gallery in London (UK), Brasilea Foundation in Basel (CH), and Museum of the Dam in Rio de Janeiro (BR). Participated in projects and collabs with labels such as Nike/Nikelab, Royal Caribbean, FARM Rio, Matarazzo city, Acclimatization Garden, 700’000 Hours, Rio Art, among others.

Carioca, or visual artist uses paint, drawing, photography and sculpture in their research. He held his first solo exhibition in 2003, in Ken's Art Gallery, in Florence, Italy, where he lived and took courses in photography and art history. Rio de Janeiro, he took live modeling classes with Bandeira de Mello and took painting courses with João Magalhães and Luiz Ernesto, at the school of Visual Arts of Parque Lage. His work is currently found in the largest Brazilian collections, like those of Gilberto Chateubriand, that of BGA Investimentos and the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro (MAM-Rio).
