The Curitiba Cultural Foundation promotes in days 27 and 28 October, in Curitiba Memorial, the third edition of the seminar of Cultural Heritage, with submission of papers and research encouraged by the Municipal Fund of culture. The projects have as final product works on different aspects of the culture and history of Curitiba.
The architecture of the city in the decades of 1920 to 1940, the story of neighborhoods like the Bom Retiro and new world, the architectural heritage of the Municipal Cemetery, the intangible heritage of the terreiros de candomblé and folk groups, are some of the research that will be presented. Will be in all nine works, whose themes will be under discussion during the seminar.
There will also be lectures with invited experts – architect and professor Maria Lúcia Bressan Pinheiro, from the University of São Paulo, Professor Wolney Unes, from the Federal University of Goiás, the historian from Santa Catarina and vice-president of the Brazilian Association of Cemetery Studies Elisiana Castro and the anthropologist Márcia Kersten, from UFPR.
According to historian Marcelo Sutil, of the FCC Cultural Heritage Directorate, since 2007, when the first notice dedicated to Intangible Heritage was launched, The Municipal Culture Fund's notices aim to encourage work that, in addition to producing knowledge of the topic, resulting in reports, videos, exhibitions and publications, also value the dissemination of results, distributing the resulting products and presenting them to the community in an open and free seminar.
In 2014, notices were launched by the Fund for the areas of material and intangible heritage, in a total of nine projects included. In the notice focused on intangible heritage, the five selected projects were free-themed, as long as they are included in the IPHAN classification for the area. For material heritage, two themes were addressed (architecture of the decades 1920/1940 and Inventory of the São Francisco de Paula Municipal Cemetery) and two had free themes in the urban research category.
