Special programming on Home reading celebrates anniversary of Paulo Leminski

Home reading Paulo Leminski, Curitiba Cultural Foundation unit in the Industrial City, prepared a special program to celebrate the birthday of Curitiba poet Paulo Leminski, that would complete 71 years in the day 24 August. The reading circles and some more musical attractions that take place during the next week contemplate the different artistic manifestations related to the poet's universe., as photo, music and cinema.

The activities will be coordinated by reading mediators Leandro Toporowicz and Ygor Dalaqua, who selected for reading the books “War within the people”, “Forty clicks from Curitiba” and “Toda Poesia” (edition that brings together all of Leminski's poetic work). “We try to get a little bit of every facet of Leminski”, Leandro explains. “We will read a rare work that combines poetry and photography, another dedicated to children and teenagers and adapted for the cinema, plus two musical performances”, advanced.

Paulo Leminski died in 1989, consecrated as one of the exponents of Brazilian literature in recent decades. He left an extensive body of poetry, prose, essays, biographies and translations, but also acted in other artistic languages, being relevant their musical partnerships. Some of their songs will be performed on Saturday (29) by the trio from Curitiba “Aqueles Três”.
