Offer the public the opportunity to meet more local artists, In addition to feed the habit of cultural coexistence in public spaces. That is the proposal of the program "Sunday in your Pocket", that opens this Sunday (17/09), on the rider's Pocket Square, a partir the 14h.
"The new program is part of a set of cultural actions that seek to improve the quality of life of the historic center of the city. The goal is to offer a diverse cultural program and promote the animation industry's historic axis ", says the President of the Cultural Foundation of Curitiba, Marcelo Cattani. It highlights the other actions that are already being developed, as support for music festivals, the Ethnic Flag, mediated by the visits of educational action of FCC, the revitalization of the square 19 December, among other initiatives.
With a varied programming, We have storytelling, inventive percussion workshop and show, the idea is to present to the public an alternative to enjoy the family Sunday after lunch, or even to continue the ride after the Largo da Ordem. In this first edition, celebrating bike month, the theme will be #VADEBIKE!
Programming -In the "Sunday of Pocket", the storytelling will be performed by Mariana Barros, that is biker, performer, artist and mother. Then have the inventive percussion workshop with Denis Mariano, percussionist, photographer, ultra-criativo and dad. And authorial sound will be on account of the Legendary Chucrobillyman, or “one-man band”, that has the ability to play all the instruments alone, mixing rock, Blues and punk with the Japanese-Brazilian charm.
The event is aimed at all generations and ages. According to Karla Keiko, Curator of the program, "the initiative aims to embrace those who are young people more or less time and create environments for everyone to interact and have fun", the firm.
The program comes from a demand of the community and the artists in occupying the square of the rider's Pocket with periodic cultural and artistic activities, with structure and support. The event will be held every third Sunday of the month, from the 2:00 pm, with storytelling, at 3:0 pm, will have workshops and 16:30, sound copyright Curitiba. All activities are free and free to all ages. Registration for the workshops always open on the same day, at 1:00 pm on site. Places are limited.
The Pocket Sunday is an initiative of the Cultural Foundation of Curitiba, in partnership with ICAC and Curitiba City Hall. In addition to these institutions, has the support of Cultural bicycle store, Samba Pastel and Booze, Negrita Bar and Vest&corselet, establishments present in San Francisco Street.
