Roundtable on women in technology is the highlight of the month
The Art and technology program of the Sesc Sorocaba brings, in the month of January, with the focus on games (electronic games) and a debate on the female presence in the universe of computing. All activities are free.
In the days 9, 10, 16 and 17 January, Saturdays and Sundays, the 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, the public can join the "immersion in Games", design by Dek Wilde, artist and video game developer. The attraction brings various mini-instalações using equipment such as google cardboard, kinect, leapmotion and other types of sensors, presenting activities and promote digital contests, In addition to resign known equipment as a webcam and microphone. Those interested should register in advance in space technology and arts of Sesc Sorocaba.
From 9 from January to 26 February, Tuesday to Friday, the 1:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 10:0 to 6:30 pm, the public can check the installation "QR", também Wanted the Deck. This installation proposes a game of puzzle with augmented reality, using a timer to give momentum to the joke.
Featured programming
On 26 January, third, from 19:30 to 21:30, will be held the highlight of technology and arts programming: the debate "about women and Bytes", with Daniela Sanchez, computer scientist. The Roundtable will discuss about the female presence in the computing world, primarily male space until recently. The speaker shares his experience of developer, Blogger and contributor in events like the "Android Project Smart Girls" and the "GirlsHackDay". To join the chat, those who are interested should sign up at the time and place of activity (technologies and arts space).
Arts and technology program
The Digital Culture of the Sesc program passed, Since the end of 2015, being named Arts and Technologies. This program covers courses, workshops, lectures, installations and performances, focusing on human development, education and citizenship, through the arts and technologies in a broad perspective, not focusing only on computers and electronics.
