Some of the teachers of the 34th music workshop of Curitiba will be performing this Monday (11). The American trombonist Darrin Coleman and pianist Deborah Milling Brazilian Fernandes Nilson form the Duo the Americas, presented at 6:30 pm, in the Palace of liberty. Others 16 music teachers, Brazilians and foreigners, will be together at the concert of Chamber music that happens to 8:30 pm, in the chapel Santa Maria.
The Duo of the Americas was created in 2015, conceived by pianist Deborah Fernandes Nilson and by trombonist Darrin Coleman Miling, with the proposal to get a homogeneous sound and at the same time enhance the interfaces of both instruments. The duo was designed to explore original works and transcriptions of composers of the Americas, especially Brazil, United States and Canada.
Opportunity to appreciate the talent of some of the most respected Brazilian instrumentalists and foreigners is the Chamber concert that brings together 16 teachers of the music workshop. The concert, with works by Beethoven (Septet for winds and strings in e-flat major), Bohuslav Martinu (Nonet H. 374) and Ernest Chausson (Concerto in d major Op. 21 for violin and String Quartet), will have the participation of the flutist Polish Lukasz Dlugosz, that performs recitals across Europe, United States, China and Japan, and the violinist Hagai Shaham, internationally recognized as one of the young violinists to have emerged in Israel in recent years.
