On World Intellectual Property Day, neuroscientist and philosopher Fabiano de Abreu proposes a reflection on a cloudy period that is approaching there without people observing the seriousness of this situation.

Not even Steve Jobs with so many good phrases manages to be a philosophical icon for all the dissemination without credit. It is increasingly difficult to be a name to stay in time as particles in the history of life ”, analyzes.
Another serious problem of the present times, the neuroscientist highlights, is that “there is a frustration on the part of many intellectuals when they see their work being used, be modified, be distributed without recognizing the true author, who gave their time to analysis and research. On the other hand, we live in a society too lazy to worry about the real sources, with the true origin. Thus, an endless chain of appropriation originates, one after the other, without accountability in most cases ”, the Mint.
It must be remembered that, “Intellectual work aims to transform, to be an engine of change and, obviously whoever invests wants to be recognized or, otherwise it starts not to share information ”, points out Abreu.
Victim of this situation so common today, Fabiano de Abreu regrets that he had many of his published phrases stolen and published as being authored by whoever published it. “In a public network like the social, brazenness reaches the narcissistic level of absolute power. But it’s up to us to look for legal ways to keep our property, not out of vanity, but for merit and teaching ”.
