São Paulo, September 2018 - Paula Castro Cia. Of dance, Company traditional and innovative dance school of the same name, with more than 40 years in the market and the exclusive representative of National School of Ballet of the Republic of Cuba (ENBC) in Brazil, stages on 06 October (Saturday) a retelling of The Swan Lake, one of the main repertoire of classical ballet world, at the Theater Paulo Machado de Carvalho, in Sao Caetano do Sul.
Created by Russian composer Tchaikovsky and represented the first time in 1877 the Bolshoi Theater, in Moscow, performance in four acts tells the story of a prince who must choose a wife among the guests of a dance. However, discovers that the Swans are in a large lake are bewitched princesses returning to human form after the setting of the sun. Enchanted by one, Odette – the White Swan, Prince Siegfried is fooled by the magician Rothbart and his daughter, Odile - or family Black Swan.
In addition to the company's official list, constituted by 30 dancers, the sessions are attended guest soloist, Filipe Moreira, Prime dancer of the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro. With artistic direction of Paula Castro and Juliana Pires, assembly has the collaboration of the technical look of renowned teachers and choreographers of the Cuban Ballet, as Ramona de Saa and Niurka Naranjo.
The reassembly of the work has already been staged in 2017 by Paula Castro Dance Company at the Teatro Municipal de Barueri, Alfa and Ibirapuera Auditorium Theater, totaling eight presentations with blockbuster. Traditional and innovative dance school with more than 40 years in the market and official representative of National School of Ballet of the Republic of Cuba (ENBC) in Brazil, since 1994, Ballet Paula Castro was founded by dancer, physical educator and psychologist Paula Castro. Recognized for its technical rigor, the quality of teaching and the development of talent for artistic and cultural sector, the school currently has three units in São Paulo, capital: Morumbi, Alto de Pinheiros and Pompeii.
During his training process, Paula Castro realized that few were worried teachers to educate through dance. In order to spread the idea that the dance was not only an aesthetic art, but a formative art and manufacturing that could help the personal and professional lives of its practitioners, Ballet Paula Castro consolidates in 1981, by the State Department of Education, as an establishment able to teach the body arts.
