Portuguese-Brazilian artist, Suzana Queiroga lives and works on the Lisbon / Rio de Janeiro axis, producing works with a wide variety of media, including videos, performances, facilities, inflatable, paintings, drawings and sculptures.
Active since the years 1980, when he participated in the famous exhibition “How are you, Generation 80?” (1984, in Parque Lage / RJ), this record company, painter, designer and teacher, develops poetics that cross the flow issues, of time and infinity. In his large works, including some urban interventions, the experience of expanding the senses can generate spaces of collective immersion.
A small sample of this exquisite creative universe by Suzana Queiroga you will be able to follow with the release of the artist's video on Friday, 04 of december, within the Art in Dialogue Project - In the Quarantine of the National Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition takes place at 4 pm, on the Museum's social networks: Facebook – MNBARio and Instagram – @mnbario.

The carioca artist tells about 11 national awards in the curriculum, among them, the 5th Marcantônio Vilaça / Funarte Award for the acquisition of collections, in 2012; National Contemporary Art Award / Funarte, in 2005; the RIO ARTE Scholarship, in 1999; and the X and IX National Plastic Arts Salons, among others. In 2015, one more consecration: obtained the video acquisition award at the XVIII Biennial of Art of Cerveira(Portugal). Suzana also joined numerous ex-national and international collective positions, plus several individual.
In the last exhibition he held at MNBA, in 2017, Suzana Queiroga participated in the project See and feel through touch, exhibiting interactive works that infected the audience.
