The first edition of 2021 of the Museum of Tomorrow Here and Now debate series, promoted by the Museum of Tomorrow, will receive one of the best known astrophysicists in the world and also scientific disseminator Neil deGrasse Tyson to share his thoughts regarding the presence of science in our daily lives, especially not Brazil. The virtual meeting is scheduled for this Friday, às 17h, on the Museum's YouTube (www.youtube.com/channel/UCQJHXIJ2cCADezgGjFGle7w), with simultaneous translation and also in original audio.

With a close relationship with Brazil, Tyson wrote in his last book, “Answers from an astrophysicist”, published by Record publisher, last year, a letter to Brazilians, celebrating the achievements of Brazilian science and highlighting the importance of investments in the area. In the letter, the astrophysicist cites some points for which the country is known internationally and questions the reasons why Brazilian technology used worldwide, in fields ranging from agriculture to aeronautics, are not equally recognized by politicians and governments themselves.
