MAR prepared a special program with lives and workshops for the little ones and their families
To celebrate Children's Day, the Art Museum of the river-SEA, under the management of the Institute Odeon, prepared a virtual schedule for the whole family on the days 13, 15 and 17 October. Among the activities, Creative workshops “Super-mercado” and “A viagem da menina rio” take place, e as lives “Anti-racist education and representativeness in childhood” and “Education in art and childhood museums”.
On 15, às 14h, the “Super-market” workshop takes place in which, from the superhero paintings present at the exhibition “Brown is Paper”, of artist Maxwell Alexandre, families will create their own superheroes, using cartoons and supermarket shelves as inspiration. To participate, you need to sign up through MAR's website. At the workshop “A viagem da menina rio”, What happens on the day 17, às 14h, no Youtube do MAR, participants will be invited to reassemble, with objects found at home, the experience of feeling the wind, run like the waters of a river and rest on the lap of a pond, based on exposure “Aline Motta - memory, travel and water”. No prior registration is required for this activity.
The program “MAR is a child's place” also includes two educational lives. The first, “Anti-racist education and representativeness in childhood”, will be held on the day 13, às 17h, no Youtube do MAR, and will promote an online meeting between educators, aimed at the debate and sharing of anti-racist educational actions and methodologies. Soon after, on 15, às 17h, on the YouTube channel of MAC Dragão do Mar, live streaming takes place “Education in art and childhood museums”, a partnership between the Museum of Art of Rio – MAR, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ceará – MAC Dragão do Mar and the Art Museum of the University of Ceará – MAUC. The online meeting aims to contribute to the discussion on early childhood access to art and museums.

With educators Fernando Porto and Maria Rita Valentim
As opening of the programming MAR is a child's place, we will promote an online meeting between educators, aimed at the debate and sharing of anti-racist educational actions and methodologies. The conversation also aims to dialogue with artistic practices that articulate notions of representativeness for children. The activity is recommended for children, their guardians and educators.

With the participation of Saulo Moreno (MAUC) and Maria Rita Valentim (MAR), the activity mediated by Vinicius Scheffer (MAC Dragon) will discuss the art-education processes in museums and early childhood access policies.

With educators Fernando Porto and Maria Rita Valentim
This creative workshop dedicated to children's week is freely inspired by the universe of the exhibition “Aline Motta - memory, travel and water”. Through a story staged live by educators Fernando Porto and Maria Rita Valentim for children, we will know the journey of Menina-Rio in search of memories of its waters. Get your family together and come back, with objects found at home, the experience of feeling the wind, run like the waters of a river and rest on the lap of a pond. Separate objects such as sheet, pillows, water sprinkler and what else to imagine to follow the story of this girl who wants to know her origins. A workshop to attend, hear and feel at home. Workshop suitable for families with children between 3 and 5 years old.
