According to Kobra, 100 spray cans were available for the project, realized in his studio in Itu, São Paulo.

“The idea of taking it to Muhcab was from ‘Fantástico’, understanding that this is a place of identity relevance to receive homage to such a representative figure for black men and women, especially in the area of communication, account Leandro Santanna, space director, In Gamboa, which received more than 40 thousand visitors in 2022.

Kobra in the museum

“Although the basis of my work is street art, I also find it fascinating to have my works increasingly present in museums and galleries. In the history of street art, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring broke the barrier. They were precursors in this story of going from the streets to galleries and museums. The interesting thing is that today this movement also happens from ‘inside out’, in the sense that artists who were exclusive to galleries and museums today also paint in the streets. It is also important to be in museums, because it is another type of support. It is possible to hold traveling exhibitions. A canvas I make in my studio can be seen in different parts of the world., unlike a wall, where the person has to go to the city where the work is located”, knee Cobra.

At the age of 48 years, Eduardo Kobra has three thousand murals in about 35 countries, including several cities, states and Brazilian states – such as “Etnias – Todos Somos Um”, in Rio de Janeiro, “Oscar Niemeyer”, in São Paulo; “The Times They Are A-Changin” (about bob dylan), em Minneapolis; “Let me be Myself” (about anne frank), in Amsterdam; "To Dancer" (Maya Plisetskaia), in Moscow; “Fight For Street Art” Basquiat e Andy Warhol), in New York; and “David”, in the mountains of Carrara.
