In the month of Paralimpíadas, the Museu Nacional de Belas Artes/IBRAM/MinC opens on the day 9 September, at 12:00, the exhibition "see and feel through touch". The show provides aesthetic appreciation of representations of four works of art from the collection of the MUSEUM for blind people, with low vision and psychics.
The organizers of the exhibition promoted subjectivity, In addition to the disability, encouraging social inclusion. And explain that the experience with the art extends the perception, putting all, are blind and psychic, as protagonists of a plural world, diverse and collective.
The display is part of the project "see and feel through touch", begun in 2007 and that turns to the accessibility, the trial of the artistic object and the reading of the work of art (using the acquis of the MNBA) to blind people, of low vision, among others.
Make up the tactile sunken boards shows, mockups and EVA boards (rubberized material) that enable the aesthetic appreciation for blind people. The embossed plaster boards were produced in the workshops of UFRJ.
The works that will be exhibited were selected considering different genres within the Brazilian modernism and were performed by: Jose Borges da Costa, Tarsila do Amaral, Manabu Mabe and Francisco Rebolo.

To facilitate visitation, the receptive and security teams were qualified for the reception and orientation of visitors. The material in Braille of the exhibition included support of the Secretariat for Person with disabilities, the City Hall of Rio de Janeiro.
