I am that woman
To whom the time
Really taught.
Taught to love life.
Don't give up the fight.
Start over in defeat.
Waive negative words and thoughts.
Believe in human values.
Be optimistic.
(CORALINA, 2004, p. 132)
The words would not be enough to describe the woman who was our dear Cora Coralina. His verses are infinite simplicity, but of immeasurable strength and beauty. The lines show maturity, the energy, while exposing the inside of such a sweet soul and the sweet that she was.
In poetry the words are a bit of a poet who charmed, what is unworkable, rather constant heartbeat of every woman in his dogged daily struggle. And when the lines are not enough, Art comes in with their colors and shapes to speak to the heart. And certainly the spell is completed by artistic demonstrations, when so much has to say of the feminine soul. Perhaps this picture of resolute woman, firm and persevering is represented in the exhibition of works that are on display at the Mercure Hotel, in São Paulo.
The show, who has impeccable curated by Sandra Honors, reveals thoughts, women's struggles and achievements in the midst of a society still so unequal. By using different languages and techniques, the artists, carefully chosen, They exposed in his works, daily clashes, the victories and those who are still distant. The show began in 21 September; will be to 31 October at the Mercure Hotel Paulista, São Carlos do Pinhal Street, 87, in Sao Paulo city; and can be visited from 10 to 20 hours.
If perhaps the Poetry above metamorfoseasse, each exhibition of the work would be a word, would be back. By the hands of artists, Coras were exposed so many of Brazil in its the simplest everyday moments, exposed the mother to look sweetness, the warrior woman of strength, no delicate gesture, na voz melodiosa, the resolute and forceful look. Each has its own charm and lightness. If anything the viewer delight, Poetry is because blew in Art.
