Curitiba Memorial receives next Friday (4), from the 7:30 pm, a photo exhibition which shows the everyday life of Roma in a distant perspective of stereotypes that commonly the label. The work is the photographer Rogério Ferrari which features 23 images, in black and white, 60 dimensions×40 cm. In partnership with the Cultural Foundation of Curitiba, the aberturta will show the presence of the Roma community. On display until 28 February, the visitation happens to 12:00 and 9:00 of 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, from Tuesday to Friday, and the 9:00 at 3:00 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Admission is free.
For three months, between 2010 and 2011, Rogério Ferrari traveled 45 municipalities of Bahia to photograph the Gypsy people. According to the photographer, "the project did not come from an aesthetic choice or exotic search, another distant to be photographed, but for the purpose of portraying the Gypsies in a distant perspective the possible of the stigmata and the stereotypes ". The exhibition is curated as the White Images, What are the visual artist and photographer William also Zawa. She arrives at the art world gathering big names of photography, including professionals working abroad, and proposing work with copyright and relevant cultural projects on the national scene, both photographers and artists, as with the producers and cultural spaces.
