BUT promotes an on-site Class: Visit to the temple Zu Lai

The Museu de Arte Sacra de São Paulo promotes a class in loco for the Zu Lai Temple (Fo Guang Shan Buddhist monastery), with Professor. Dr. Jorge Lúzio.

Located 30 km from São Paulo, in the municipality of Cotia, the Zu Lai Temple, integrating the monastery Buddhist order Fo Guang Shan Chinese, based in Taiwan, focuses an atmosphere inspired by the teachings of Buddhism, while also reveals the peculiar aesthetic of their culture. Broad areas in a setting that harmonizes the architectural richness and transcendence of Eastern philosophies, become a space of diversity which invites its visitors to inter-religious dialogue in addition to the contact with the wisdom of one of the oldest civilizations in history.

OBJECTIVE:

Recognize the cultural diversity of human values that permeate the religious traditions and their common message for all people.

PROFESSOR

Jorge Lúzio: Doctorate in Social History from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo / PUC-SP, with a master's degree in history from the same institution. Has a graduate degree in Yoga (Metabolism-SP) and specialization in Baroque art and culture (Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto-UFOP / MG). As art-educator has a background in theater education from the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC / Ilhéus-BA) and classical Indian dance – Odissi style / DRT-SP. It is a researcher at the Laboratory Dialogues with Asia / FFLCH-USP / CNPQ, and Other research group East – UFRJ / CNPQ. Lecturer in the Department of History – Postgraduate studies in UNIFAI / Assumption University Center, São Paulo - SP. Brings his experience as instructor of Yoga projects like PYT (Yoga program at work – Albert Einstein Hospital / Legalass Training; 2003-2005); Saraswati – Yoga & Consciousness (Consulting; 2006-current) activities in Prema Yoga (School and courses; 2012-current) In addition to custom training.
