MAR debates social activism in favelas in the context of the pandemic

The Art Museum of the river-SEA, under the Institute's management Odeon, this Thursday (18/6), às 17h, a live to debate favela social activism in the pandemic scenario. The conversation will feature two active residents of Morro da Providência: the museum education coordinator, Hugo Oliveira, and visual artist Maurício Hora, that will be part of the collective exhibition ‘Casa Carioca’, scheduled to open with the reopening of MAR - closed due to the period of social isolation.

In shows, Maurício Hora will present an unprecedented work that is being produced during the Covid-19 pandemic. To support the residents of your community, who often do not have clean water at home, the artist and his companion installed 64 taps across the territory. The initiative will be the starting point of the chat that airs on MAR's Instagram profile:
