1- Where did you born? And what is your academic training?

Was born in São Paulo – Capital and I'm a Physical Education teacher, graduated from USP – University of São Paulo.

2- How and when you give your first contact with the Arts?

Since childhood I have contact with the arts, at school and at home, my father was an artist.

3- How did you find this gift?

At school I used to focus on art classes.

4- What are your main influences?

The main influences come from my father, my master through informal classes, and also by artists from the Santa Helena group, as well as artists in general.

5- What materials do you use in your works?

Oil paints, acrylic, PVA, watercolor, gouache, dyes, clay, Eucatex, cast acrylic.

6- What is your creative process itself? What inspires you?

The creative process comes from landscapes, Brazilian architecture, how European, nature inspires me through elements like birds and fish, where the main objective is chromatic enhancement. And the symbols are worked to improve the work as a whole and personally. Main elements and meanings:

  • Birds and Fish – Nature;
  • Flower – Woman;
  • Heart – Love;
  • Boats – Fishing;
  • Churches – Spirituality.

7- When you started effectively to produce or create your works?

I started to produce the works in 1985.

8- Art is an intellectual production exquisite, where emotions are embedded in the context of creation, but in art history, we see that many artists are derived from other, following technical and artistic movements through time, you own any model or influence of any artist? Who would be?

I learned art from my father and master Fulvio Pennacchi, acquiring its influence on my work initially, over time I developed compositions more linked to chromatic compromise, where I was inspired by the artist Volpi.

9- What does art mean to you? If you were to summarize in a few words the meaning of Arts in your life…

Art practically fills my life as a whole, through it I manifest myself as a human being and seek an evolution.

10- What techniques do you use to express their ideas, feelings and perceptions about the world? (Whether it is through painting, sculpture, drawing, collage, photography… or uses several techniques in order to make a mix of different art forms)

I am an artist who seeks to diversify the work, using various techniques, painting, drawing, engraving, mosaic and sculpture.

11- Every artist has his mentor, that person whom you mirrored that encouraged and inspired you to follow this career you, going ahead and taking your dreams the other expression levels, who this person is and how it introduced you in the art world?

My father encouraged me to believe that I had talent, gave me informal classes, and for being in the middle of the arts, ended up introducing me. My mom also encouraged me a lot, promoting and being my partner.

12- You have another activity beyond art? You teaches classes, lectures etc.?

I teach classes, and I've also partnered with other artists, besides selling works.

13- Its major national and international exhibitions and their awards?

14- Your plans for the future?

Continue to develop my artistic work and disseminate it.

15- In your opinion what is the future of Brazilian art and its artists? (in the general context) and why so many artists are giving preference to show their work in international exhibitions despite high costs?

I believe that the future of Brazilian art, tends to grow, but I am not a fan of contemporary avant-garde art. International exhibitions, being financially viable are positive, opening a new market and disseminating Brazilian art.
