everyday life, personal experiences, Parties, countryside landscapes, urban areas and nature in the eyes of contemporary popular artists
The Galeria Jacques Ardies close the schedule 2022 with “ Popular Art Collective“ It features works by 16 Brazilian artists, and exhibits a cut of recent production in the field of national popular art, highlighting themes of everyday life, personal experiences, Parties, countryside and urban landscapes, beyond the beauty of nature.
Since the mission of the gallery is to encourage Brazilian Popular Art, contemporary artists were selected for “a festive event to celebrate the end of the year and showcase the artists alive and painting non-stop”, says Jacques Ardies. “These artists have in common the subtlety with which they portray themes related to nature and everyday life.. using colors skillfully, they transmit joy in each of their paintings., the lyricism and optimism characteristic of the Brazilian people”, explains the curator.

Humanity and art cannot function without each other. We have a burning desire to create quality cultural actions. Popular art is defined as the representative expression of a country's culture. In Brazil we find several popular artists spread across all regions of the country. The works of the segment are of very high aesthetic and artistic recognition. Artists are inspired by their regionality, beliefs, legends and customs typical of their culture.
Popular culture is the main root of this art. Autodidact (self taught), the popular artist dedicates his free time, your time off from work to create your art. If you succeed, he ends up becoming a professional and living off his art. Its role is fundamental for the intellectual development, opinion formation, social inclusion, education and finally, it's the most incredible way to make people see the world more civilized.
“Celebrating the end of the year 2022 with one collective exhibition of the best active artists of our popular art, we have multifaceted artistic works that represent the varied regional customs of Brazil”, says Jacques Ardies.
