“Festival Toriba Musical” this week has Jazz, Tango and Opera

Good music continues to echo in the majestic mountains of Serra da Mantiqueira!

The Festival Toriba Musical continues this week with three presentations at Fireplace Room of the Hotel Toriba, at 7:30 pm.

In on wednesday, 7 of October, Marco Bernardo, accompanied at the piano by Antonio Luiz Barker, interprets classics of jazz and Tom Jobim's songbook. The repertoire has to “My funny Valentine” and “Night and day” to “Raining on the rose bush” and “Desafinado”.

In Friday, 9 October, a rare instrumental classical music program with the duo formed by the Argentine harpist Soledad Yaya and the flutist Andrea Cristina Vilella. The attractive program has two Astor Piazzolla themes from the suite “Tango history” (“Brothel 1900” and “Café 1930”) and still Saint-Saënz pieces, Fauré, Shostakovitch and Others.

E no Saturday, 10 of October, lyrical music with baritone bass Wladimyr Carvalho. Accompanied at the piano by Antonio Luiz Barker, the singer plays, among others, opera arias by Mozart and Handel.

Service - All shows from Festival Toriba Musical are performed live and attended by an audience. It should be highlighted, are carried out following all Covid-19 prevention protocols recommended by health authorities and official bodies.
They are free for guests of the Toriba. For non-guests, tickets at R$ 50,00.
