Long before the Portuguese began to call this land of Brazil, the natives here, the indigenous people, They called her Pindorama – which in Tupi means earth / place / region of palm trees *. Pindoramalidades are the characteristics or features of pindoramenses.
The paint on the body is of great importance to the various indigenous ethnic groups, going beyond ornaments, because it is indicative of social function in the village and represents the various rites and ceremonies of these people.
Using the geometric graphics and various color palettes, Leo Fonteviva was inspired by some elements of body painting these nations, to compose their digital works.
Without any pretense of doing readings or to appropriate theme, the artist has only a reference to his pictorial expression. The only claim this honor, is trying to bring a little color to these people, that every day that passes, have their "colors" increasingly faded by the colonizer system!
