Symphony in Yellow

An omnibus across the bridge
Crawls like a yellow butterfly
Here and there, a passer-by,
Shows like a little restless midge.

Big barges full of yellow hay
Are moored against the shadowy wharf
And, like a yellow silken scarf
The thick fog hangs along the quay.

The yellow leaves begin to fade
And flutter from the Temple elms
And at my feet, the pale green Thames
Lies like a rod, of rippled jade.

Maybe it's the forgotten leaves yellow on the floor, that autumn to complete its cycle. And, cold afternoons, it is still the yellow of the sun, a breath to the approaching cold. In the game of colors, green can withstand on some bold branch; Blue, can be a clear day sky; or even all colors can come together and play to make Art. In the colors of winter, all the Arts are present, softening the cold and comforting the look.

On the icy New York winter days, the Art can be warm. Artists and works speak through the language; of colors and shapes. Art has this power. In the warmth of a traditional space of the city where, there is 47 years the art was present, the winter event of Ward-Nasse Gallery, once again, brings works and artists to a prestigious space, in New York.

The event features works by artists such as Hèlène de Beauvoir (1910-2001), sister of the philosopher Simone de Beauvoir (1908-1986); Claude Cailloux; Truman Egleston; Johanne Kourie, Leda Maria, Alessandra Sequeira, Rosângela Vig, MeMé Vizzotto, Sylvain Goudreau, Macarena Vicuña, Valeria Sims, Beth Jabur, Victor Quirós and Luma Sanos. In variety of works, the delicacy of the traces and the adjusted use of colors.

The Art softens the upcoming cold, through the colorful abstract, in full motion, of Alessandra Sequeira and Claude Cailloux; or with the geometric lines that seem to bend, and to rotate, swing, from Truman Egleston. Leda Maria’s work is a quiet naked woman who waits on divan, and does not seem to care about the sculpture that watches the colorful clouds of Johanne Kourie. In the field of surrealism, the monochromatic worlds seem to be invaded by balloons jumping out of the drawing, by Rosângela Vig. And the sculpture of MeMé Vizzotto may have emerged from a surreal world of Hèlène de Beauvoir. For Art, anything is possible.

The exhibition will open at the Ward-Nasse Gallery, on 4 November, from 2017, from 5 to 7 of the night. Works can be visited until 6 January 2018. The gallery is located at 35, Main Street, Sussex, NJ. The cold air announces the arrival of the most cozy season of the year. Along with it, the Colors of Winter, in Art.
