Exhibition on humanized birth is attraction at SESC Sorocaba

A mostra “In Útero – Stories of births ", which has as its theme the registration of births humanized, will be on display in the exhibition space of SESC Sorocaba 4 to 29 November, Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 to 9:30 pm, and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 10:0 to 6:30 pm.

The exhibition brings together works of photographers Ariane Chiebao, Francine Pires, Regina Carvalho e Sam Golob. The project is organized in partnership with Good Generate - Maternity and Development. They are portraits of home humanized births, hospitals and birth centers.

The project brings together photographic and audiovisual records of births and births humanized, such as, home, hospitals and birth centers, aiming to spread the chance to experience this moment with respect and as a landmark in family history. "In addition to photos, there will be a space with videos of labors, from birth to the first moments of the baby ", comenta a fotógrafa Ariane Chiebao. The photos and videos were held in Sorocaba and region.

As fotógrafas

Ariane Chiebao (www.arianechiebao.com) is the mother of two children and is pregnant with the third. He has experience as a doula, communicator and photographer with a focus on art and culture, family, pregnant women, babies and birth. Francine Pires (www.facebook.com/francinepiresfotografia) is family photographer, mother of two children born through normal delivery, but not Humanized, found in support groups for affinity to register births and respectful births. Regina Carvalho (www.reginacarvalho.com) is a doula, mother of two boys and family photographer, clicking moments like: gestation, part, newborns and children. Sam Golob (www.facebook.com/samgolob) is a photographer who lives in Sorocaba, focusing on women, humanized birth records from 2010.

Humanized birth

The humanization of birth respects the physiology of women. The humanized birth respects the mother and baby time, without speeding up the process, artificial increase of contractions, among others. This also enhances the postpartum time, encouraging the union of mother and baby and breastfeeding in the first hour of life.
