The exhibition “Accessibility – In addition to the Physical Spaces ", produced by the Embassy of Sweden in Brazil and by the Swedish Institute (SI), was opened in 2016 by the Minister of children, Elderly and gender equality of Sweden, Mrs. Asa Regnér, during the Paralimpíadas, in the library in Rio de Janeiro State Park. With the support of Federal Deputy Mara Gabrilli, the exhibition was also displayed in the House of representatives in November of the same year.

Now, brought to Belo Horizonte, the exhibition will take place in the State capital of 7 of February to 7 March 2017, on Biblioteca Pública Estadual Luiz de Bessa, Paulo Campos art gallery Guimarães, located in Praça da Liberdade, number 21, Funcionários.

One word that sums up this exhibition's dignity. Live with dignity, independent of any disability, is a human right, According to the United Nations Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities. So people with disabilities can enjoy full equality within society, There's still much to change for the better. In environments, in laws, well as in attitudes.

Offer everyone a chance to be seen and heard is already a big step to stop seeing people with disabilities as a homogeneous group, and start seeing them as individuals with different needs. Thus, in the exhibition, the 24 people photographed, as well as your stories, do not represent the end of your journey: are portraits of a one-off moment of their lives.

We hope that the personal stories this Exhibition tion can promote dialogues and strengthen international cooperation in relation to accessibility, dignity and policies for disabled.
