Earth Song
I am the Earth I am the life.
From my clay came first the man.
From me came the woman and came the love.
The tree came, the wellspring came.
The fruit comes and the flower comes.I am the original source of all life.
I am the floor that attaches to your house.
I am covered tile your home.
Your constant mine pit.
I'm the ear of your cattle
And sure to quiet your effort.
I'm the reason your life.
Me came by the hand of the creator,
And to me you will come at the end of the deal.
Only me you shall find rest and peace.I am the great universal Mother.
Your daughter, your betrothed and bride.
The woman and the womb that fruitful.
I am the plot, pregnancy, I am love.
(CORALINA, 2004, p. 311)
Chora Earth saddened, lonely mother, by their indifferent children transiting the hustle and bustle of a big city rushed, at full steam, in full progress, no time. Recklessly bleeds Earth, careless, by mismanagement, freewheel, by greed. But men continue their accelerated pace, no deadline to finish their haste, no expiration date for your ambitions and progress. The fact is that pulse lives on the same earth mistreated. We share this earth with animals, plants and water it pours. We are dependent on each other and we are all together on the same floor; glut ourselves the headquarters of the same water; We feed ourselves the fruits that spring from the same soil where are other lives; and breathe the same air as all other creatures.
The lack of concern with this can leave indelible marks for the inhabitants of the near future, for our children and for our grandchildren. And it was the lack of concern with the future generations that led to the devastation of 20% the Amazon rainforest, about one million square kilometers. The result is that along with the devastation, many species disappear, the rains are rare and the weather becomes drier. The consequence is the disappearance of the forest, under climate become excessively dry.
That's the biggest concern of Art and Artists Group. Moved by this cause, artists do themed traveling exhibitions, to arouse no viewer, appreciation and care for nature and our forests.
And the next exhibition of the group's happening in the Letters of Campinense Academy, on the street Marechal Deodoro, 525, in the city of Campinas, São Paulo. The vernissage, on 4 June decided to open the show, with artists from various places, each with a form of expression, involved in one subject, Amazon and its natural beauty. The photos of the vernissage are just below and it was a beautiful event. The exhibition runs until 30 June and the works can be seen Monday through Friday, from 8 to 16 hours.
Perhaps art is the way to raise more than Belo, more than enchanted by the colors and shapes. That is it also able to sensitize humans to the serious problems facing the present with respect to the environment. It is the art the way to make this world more and better Belo.
