From March, the Ema Klabin House Museum, in partnership with Vistoobilidade, concessionaire responsible for the operation and maintenance of Line 5-Lilac, presents the exhibition 35 Centuries of Art and Culture. The first to receive the show will be Brooklin Station.

The public will be able to contemplate some examples of these 35 centuries of art and culture at Casa Museu Ema Klabin. “They will be exposed 20 panels presenting the diversity of the institution's collection and activities, with images accompanied by words that encourage the public to reflect on them ”, explains the curator of the exhibition, the architect Paulo de Freitas Costa.

To Juliana Alcides, Communication and Sustainability Manager, the initiative is an incentive to expand access to information and knowledge. “In addition to safe and comfortable transportation, our goal is to offer people who travel through our stations opportunities to get in touch with the various artistic and cultural events that exist in São Paulo ”, says.

Starting in August, the exhibition will land on Line 4-Yellow of the subway where it will be on display until October.

Panoramic character

Ema Klabin (1907-1994) form, throughout his life, a large collection of panoramic character, inseparable from the house and the environments he built and created to house it. "The collection, with their more than 1.600 parts, contains copies of the most varied origins and techniques, and its common denominator - its guiding thread - is the period of Ema Klabin's life and the aesthetic and historical judgment that guided her choices, within a feminine culture ”, explains the curator of the Casa Museu Ema Klabin, the architect Paulo Costa.

Open to visitors since 2007, Casa Museu Ema Klabin inaugurated a new era for this collection and, besides dedicating itself to its study and diffusion, operates no present time. Its essence resides in the interaction with the public, made possible from a cultural program that today includes educational actions, courses, lectures, workshops, shows, publications, temporary exhibitions and contemporary art interventions, available in person and online.
