Come with your family and friends enjoy a different Sunday in the Museum Casa do Pontal, in Recreio dos Bandeirantes. The second edition of the event CULTURAL WELFARE IN THE PONTAL HOUSE MUSEUM, organized by the company Connects Events, happens next Sunday (4 of June), of 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. About of 600 people were present in the first edition, held in April, in the gardens of the Casa do Pontal Museum which featured 30 barriquinhas of services and products, In addition to workshops and concerts.
It is a traveling alternative fair which aims to empower entrepreneurs, artisans, independent artists and farmers of the region. The event brings together crafts, Culture, Arts, organic, food, Ecology, open rehearsals and various artistic activities for children and adults. On the day there will be half-price (R$ 6) for anyone who wants to visit the permanent exhibition of the folk art Museum Casa do Pontal.

How to get to Casa do Pontal Museum
The best way to get to the Pontal House Museum is public transport. However there will be free parking outside the Museum Casa do Pontal limited to 10 first cars arriving. And a cab ride/UBER between recess and the House do Pontal Museum is around R$ 15.
Using public transportation can be reached in the following ways:
Ø Integrated bus 8 and get off at the Terminal and take the bus Land 823 (Recess X Vargem Grande), down the road do Pontal, in front of the Casa do Pontal Museum.
Ø another option is to catch any bus BRT Parador Recreational sense, get off at station Guiomar Novaes. Go to Land and take the Bus Terminal 823 (Recess X Vargem Grande), down the road do Pontal, in front of the Casa do Pontal Museum.
Ø another option is to take the subway and get off at Ocean Garden station (Line 4). Go to the Garden and Ocean Terminal take the bus LECD25 (Ocean garden x Playground), down the road do Pontal, in front of the Casa do Pontal Museum.
About the Museum Casa do Pontal
Admired by foreign personalities like writer José Saramago, applauded by Brazilian musician Gilberto Gil and the Carnival Paulo Barros, recognized as artistic and Cultural Heritage of Rio de Janeiro, the Museum Casa do Pontal is fundamental in Rio tours. Definitely a full ride, stunning and a must for adults and children. Located in a place of 5.000 m ², the space brings together 8.500 parts of shapes, materials and different styles of authorship of more than 300 artists, from 24 States of the country. Are kilometers of stories and customs of the Brazilian people, result of 40 years of research and travel by Brazil of the French designer Jacques Van de Beuque, owner of a very rich collection that covers the production of folk art from the twentieth century.

Considered by tourists who came to Brazil during the Confederations Cup as one of the leading museums of the country, According to a survey from the Embratur, the Museum Casa do Pontal is in activity for more than 35 years and brings together the largest collection of Brazilian popular art. Its collection, down by the River as the city's cultural reference, consists of more than 8.500 pieces of 300 Brazilian artists, produced in the twentieth century.
The Casa do Pontal Museum was chosen, in 2014, to represent Brazil in the Committee for the safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of humanity by Unesco, assessing applications the intangible heritage of humanity, title recently received by the wheel of Brazilian Capoeira.
Currently, the Museum Casa do Pontal has institutional sponsorship of the Ministry of culture and of ITA, institutional partnership of the Brazilian Institute of Museums (IBRAM) and UNESCO.
