David José discovered his artistic gift for painting as a child, whenever there was a gap, ventured out with some drawing or painting.
This has always been your leisure. However, it only became part of their daily routine during the isolation of the pandemic.. At this time, the pain was even more present with the loss of his older brother, that had 32 years old.
It was then that the artist decided that from that moment on his duty was to do his leisure and he re-signified all those feelings, turning them into colors, forms, contours and creating your works.
“Making my thought real and turning it into an artistic expression was the main food for my soul.. God provided me with this. Creating is part of my construction as a human being”, says David Jose, who is also a scholar of the Jewish religion and a former insurance broker.
In his works, that have a certificate of authenticity, the plastic artist has rationality as his DNA and uses it with the aim of offering different possibilities to the spectators.
“I deliver to my art two options for those who see them, because that's life - nothing is too concrete, definitive, we always have an alternative, a breath. If we decide to look differently, change focus, we have this option, just want, the firm.
David signs decoration items for the Tapetah Concept Store, located at Rua Gabriel Monteiro, at Jardim Paulistano in Sao Paulo, and also developed an exclusive work for the newly opened branch of Bradesco Bank, located in Coral Gables Plaza, in Florida.
It is possible to see a space reserved for David José's creations in the homes of some people, such as: Thassia Naves, Roberto Justus and Ana Paula Siebert, Fabiana Justus, Mica Rocha, Luisa Accorsi, Juju Norremosa, Raquel Mattar among others.
About the series:
In the series of works “waves”, the rational merges with the passionate. The shapes lead the viewer's gaze between imposed layers, creating waves, pray up, pray down, like the cycles of life.
In this series, the spectator will always have the option of watching the wave rise or see it descend, as well as enjoying the vibrant color or the most attenuated one. Everything will depend on the moment of each one. “I keep honoring my past, honoring my present and cultivating my future”, comments David Jose.

The “Gradient” series, as the name suggests, conveys the perception that everything is fleeting, everything changes. Depending on the point of view, the work is dark, but at the slightest movement you will see it lightening. Just like dawn and dusk, that mature slowly, in such a gradient way, that it is almost imperceptible the moment where they begin and end. Change just comes!
Nas nuances of lives, it is up to us to make sure that each person is part of the whole. From the desire for this balance and driven by an episode of prejudice with two people that touched the artist's heart, “Inclusion” series was born.
History of Prejudice and Bullying, Unfortunately, occur every day and this one in particular generated in David José the desire to position himself to make us increasingly aware. The work, that 20% of the value of sales destined to the Friendship Circle Institution that supports the theme and promotes inclusion in the practice, brings straight lines that go up, like without warning, as if it were improvised.
They translate the differences of what we are and how we live, making all reality more beautiful, because in the artist's view, no differences, we would only have the straightness of the lines, without any meaning or value.
