The Art Museum of the river-SEA, under the Institute's management Odeon, presents the first solo exhibition of Miner Pablo Lobato in the city. With about of 50 works, The nature of things-Pablo Lobato Invites the public to a reflection about the Constitution of things and images, paying attention to the eccentricities of their "nature". Are videos, photographs, facilities, objects and a publication that reflect the artist's desire to deal with the immanence and the experience of things in smaller States intervention and manipulation by the other, throwing a look that deconstructs streams, Dynamics and situations of everyday life to which we are accustomed. The proposed cuts – physical works, symbolic, politicians and space-time seeking "free senses".

For both, the artist discusses the ideas of themes, narratives or vocations of all. Pablo Lobato explores the language of movies without having the ambition of storytelling. Therefore, the intention is to bring the visitor experiences that lead to other forms of notice. In one of the works, the installation Expiration, the artist creates a kind of machine to expire (Unarchive and delete) images. Knowing that the scenes will cease to exist at the end of the display, the viewer has his ability to keen perception and, with it, It launches with greater radicalism to the experience of immanence – until only a single frame remains white and the reflection on the place of the image in the world.

Expanding this research field, Pablo presents STREET, search with photos documenting small arrangements created organically in the interstices of the days of the cities, without any type of intervention, as branches that pile up after rain to create natural facilities or ruins that are the result of time. To take ownership of these pre-existing situations instead of opting for defining gestures-and, sometimes, given the specific nature of matter authoritarian-, the set of images that make up questions the role of STREET artist and look, inviting the public to embark on this reflection through the publication of the same name to the project, as well as through a series of objects that derived. Objects that, based on cuts and approaches, present a new perspective that goes beyond the inside of things: They tense up and rearrange the planning world.

Finally, Pablo Lobato appropriates the concept of inframince, created by Marcel Duchamp, to force the visitor to not only deal with the faces that appear horizontally as the laterality of things, for less than they are – like a sheet of paper, for example. For this, in the series Frontlight, the artist and billboards from this angle, transforming large structures in simple beams of light.

Curated by Clarissa Diniz, The nature of things-Pablo Lobato continues the exhibition program of the sea dedicated to artists whose work is little shown in Rio-São Paulo, from low institutionalization and market contexts, where, therefore, the artistic production is given as a cut in social logic. To mark the opening, Pablo Lobato and the curator of a Gallery talk on the day 26 April, Tuesday, às 11h. The exhibition is on until 31 July at the ground floor of the exhibition hall.
