Lecture – Meet the artist and director of the School of Fine Arts, University of Haifa (Israel):
At the invitation of Unicamp and Unesp plastic teacher and artist Assi Meshullam come to São Paulo to show a little of his experience as an academic and practical arts and how it can relate to the interference of the contemporary world. At this meeting the artist will address the sources of inspiration that accompanied him throughout his career. In his opinion art should grow from the physical / geographical place where its roots are planted. It will also address the art in the ancient Near East and the Canaanite and Jewish symbolism. Course: The black string in the literature
In 2018 IPHAN recognized and fell to string literature as a cultural and intangible heritage of Brazil. Lecture: Who São Paulo celebrates history? The construction of a past in the IV Centenary Exhibition of Sao Paulo (1954)
moments of celebration are quite expressive of how a society understands its own trajectory and builds its identity. In 1954, when the capital city celebrated 400 years of its foundation, a series of actions shown as part of the Sao Paulo company was looking for you. Invited to participate in the celebrations of the fourth centenary of the foundation of São Paulo, Jaime Cortesão, intellectual Portuguese, conceived the exhibition mounted at the newly opened Ibirapuera Park. The show had great influence in the state museology. The talk given by researcher David Ribeiro discusses this shows through an analysis of the manuscript catalog of the São Paulo exhibition history within the history of Brazil.
