my mirror was my family. I grew up with a mother and aunts, embroiderers and seamstresses, carpenters uncles and my father a wood turner. With a piece of wood and chisel he turned wonderful pieces. This heritage is very strong. I affirm that this memory of mischievous hands is still imprinted in my works.

15- In your opinion what is the future of Brazilian art and its artists? (in the general context) and why so many artists are giving preference to show their work in international exhibitions despite high costs?

There are many high profile artists hidden away. It's not easy to enter the art world (galleries, exhibitions), to be recognized. It has always been and continues to be for few. However, I believe in national art. It's up to us artists to fight for spaces.

As for exhibiting abroad, it is an individual option. If the artist has the opportunity and possibility to do so, must go ahead.
