I started in art after my retirement, at the beginning of 2016. I started a course in oil painting on canvas and then I developed fluid painting on canvas techniques through online courses and many videos.

3- How did you find this gift?

I always liked art as a spectator, but I never had time for her, because my dedication was exclusively for my area of health, but I was absolutely sure that by meeting her in person, I would never disconnect again, and so it happened. At first it was a hobby, but it became a profession as my work became more personalized., with my soul.

Ciça Teori é Artista Plástica.
Ciça Teori is a Plastic Artist.

4- What are your main influences?

I'm very intense, I always liked very colorful art.

At first I worked with figurative and was influenced by artists like Tarsila do Amaral, Romero Brito and Timothy Parker, but later I fell in love with fluid art, non-figurative art, which became part of my studio more intensely. There are several artists in this concept, but i can name the artist from austria Dietmar Woefl.

5- What materials do you use in your works?

Acrylic paint, Medium Acrylic, Silicone and Acrylic Putties.

6- What is your creative process itself? What inspires you?

What inspires me is the blank canvas.

I work a lot with colors, so the theory of colors and their respective harmonies between them lead me to choose different blends that complete each other across the canvas as my manipulation, invading spaces and forming different designs.

7- When you started effectively to produce or create your works?

In the beginning of 2016.

8- Art is an intellectual production exquisite, where emotions are embedded in the context of creation, but in art history, we see that many artists are derived from other, following technical and artistic movements through time, you own any model or influence of any artist? Who would be?

Fluid art can be considered an art that has been happening in recent years 10 years, there is not a reference i could quote, but Frank Bowling, right after moving to New York in 1966, stopped painting the human figure and started working on a group of paintings characterized by their scale., fluid application of acrylic paint, but a lot has changed and the fluidity on a screen today comes through different mediums and silicone.

9- What does art mean to you? If you were to summarize in a few words the meaning of Arts in your life…

Art in my life represents freedom, self knowledge, delivery, personal satisfaction, self esteem, unparalleled confidence and pleasure.

10- What techniques do you use to express their ideas, feelings and perceptions about the world? (Whether it is through painting, sculpture, drawing, collage, photography… or uses several techniques in order to make a mix of different art forms).

I don't use painting to express my feelings or perceptions about the world, I use paint to bring colors to people and well-being.. These are not concept paintings, are paintings that have the function of completing a decoration, harmonize a space, give life to environments, attract and conquer.

11- Every artist has his mentor, that person whom you mirrored that encouraged and inspired you to follow this career you, going ahead and taking your dreams the other expression levels, who this person is and how it introduced you in the art world?

To say the truth, I don't have a mentor, I didn't look up to anyone to get to the art. The art was part of my BEING, it just took me a while to figure it out and put it into practice.

12- You have another activity beyond art? You teaches classes, lectures, etc..?

how am i retired, my dedication is exclusive to art. I give private acrylic painting classes and workshop.

13- Its major national and international exhibitions and their awards?

I started to exhibit my work in 2019.

  • Virtual exhibition “Art is resistance”- Raphael Art Gallery – Organization Edmundo Cavalcanti – 06/2021 to 07/2021;
  • 3D Collective Exhibition – “We Who Inhabit the World of Others” – Curatorship Lígia Forehead (03/2021 to 06/2021);
  • (Biennial Virtual Exhibition Oswaldo Goeldi – 07/2020 to 12/2020) via edict;
  • Physical exposure #TamoTogether – Odd House in Campinas SP (10/2020 to 11/2020);
  • Sixth Edition International Exhibition – Heclectick-Art's 3D Virtual Show Room, under the curatorship of Heloiza Azevedo (07/2020 to 09/2020);
  • First Visual Arts Salon in Campinas (24 to 27 October 2020).

14- Your plans for the future?

I'm a artist I don't depend on art financially, but I love to show my work, publicize and be able to give people the opportunity to have an art in their home or in their company, it gives me pleasure. Delighting people is what I want and if for this I have to expose as much as possible, I will do. I have no intention of exhibiting abroad, I want customers here, in my country. I even use an international sales platform, but the intention is to sell here, be known here, mainly by this technique in which I currently work..

15- In your opinion what is the future of Brazilian art and its artists? (in the general context) and why so many artists are giving preference to show their work in international exhibitions despite high costs?

In my opinion, showing the works abroad is an illusion, is the way that gallery owners found to make money easier, but the artist who brings some result is very rare.

“The planetary temperament in Ciça Teori's paintings”,
por Ana Mondini

.

Ana Mondini é Crítica de Arte, Doutora em Filosofia, Artista Plástica, formada pela Escola de música e artes do Paraná e Idealizadora da “Galeria Virtual – Filosofia & Arte”.
Ana Mondini is an Art Critic, PhD in Philosophy, Visual Artist, graduated from the School of Music and Arts of Paraná and Creator of the “Virtual Gallery – Philosophy & Art ".

The panoramic abstractions of the paintings by artist Ciça Teori refer to surfaces with distinct movements.

In tasteful palette, the colors blended into each other run in different directions. in some paintings, the movement is as slow as that of the calmest ocean would be, in other, there are interesting forces, similar to a strong wind, that pull colors to the sides of the shot and displace the viewer from what is generally expected. As, there is the explosion of chromatic bombs, although, fully softened by color.

do not treat, however, just textures and moving colors, they also refer to planetary surfaces. And bring the emotion of each of these planets or nebulae. And, and, we can, including, imagine what the temperament of each of these places so far from our earthly reality would be like.

The range suggested by the artist brings, at the same time, the elevation of terrestrial materiality or the spiritual ascent, shown through the silhouettes on some of your screens. Whether through contours that form a symbol or through the female image itself, both immersed in the depths of the Cosmos.

Thereby, the artist allows the viewer a double experience: the tactile sensation arising from the materiality of the painting itself or the emotion conveyed by its poetics. Between these two borders, our spirit is faced with as many nuances as is possible to the imagination of each one. However, after observing the paintings of Ciça Teori, we'll hardly meet, even a little, beyond the narrow boundary between heaven and earth.
