The St. Lawrence Park Creativity Center is with open enrollment for 18 permanent courses in various modalities and affordable. Sculpture, ceramics, woodwork, mosaico, violão, theater and yoga are some of the options offered. Entries must be made on site, on the course (schedules below).
Functioning as a creative laboratory, with various workshops, the Creativity Center houses the Cleon Jacques Theater, alternative space for the performing arts, Atelier of Sculpture and the House of Reading Augusto Stresser, unit dedicated to literature.
The Creativity Center also features temporary exhibitions rooms. has approximately 2.400 square meters of floor space and forms the main equipment of the St. Lawrence Park, a total area of 230 thousand square meters.
Creativity Center
Inaugurated in 14 th December 1973, the old site of the glue factory and leather processing Boutin, the Curitiba Creativity Center was a landmark of cultural innovations experienced by the city in that decade.
The area has become an important core discussion of art and culture. It housed the first studios and prints shows, passed by great artists and recognized names on the national scene. Today works in order to stimulate the creation and is considered an important center of research and development of creativity in its many forms.
To reach the local bus, you need to opt for one of these lines: Interbairros II, Abranches, Chaparral, Vila Suissa, Mateus Leme, Green Water / Abranches (via Almirante Tamandaré). The space is open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 21h; and on Saturdays, from 8:30 am to 12h and 13h to 16h.
