Important paintings by artists who participated in the Modern Art Week of 22 will be for sale

the collections, reveals Marcio Molfi, VM owner, are composed of items that were part of the affective life of the families that composed them. The auction will be expressive in the offer of paintings, prints and drawings that integrate their collections.
“In this year in which we celebrate the centenary of the Week of Modern Art in 1922, held in São Paulo, we offer works by modernist artists such as Tarsila do Amaral, Anita Malfatti, Emiliano Di Cavalcanti and Quirino da Silva, plus Samson Flexor, Djanira da Motta e Silva, Francisco Rebolo, Clóvis Graciano, Mario Zanini, Fulvio Pennacchi, Aldemir Martins, Antonio Hélio Cabral, Walter Lewy, Hector Carybé, Odetto Guersoni and Reynaldo Fonseca”, reveals Molfi.
Some highlights of the aforementioned art galleries: altarpiece, by Anita Malfatti, exposed in the show “It's Sacred. It's Modern”, at the Museum of Sacred Art of São Paulo; study by Samson Flexor for the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help; and the frame Women group, by Zanini, referenced in the book “Mario Zanini and his Time”, by Alice Brill.
The auction will also have decorative objects, Silver, oriental rugs, sacred images, sculptures, porcelains, crystals, artistic glasses and memorabilia, highlighting a poem by the Portuguese writer António Botto, in unpublished original manuscript by 1947, titled Love, decorated with an ink drawing, belonging to the poet Paulo Bomfim (1926 – 2019).
“We also draw attention to the quality of the Barão de Campo Místico collection (Antonio Teixeira Diniz – 1836 – 1918), highlighting the Brazilian furniture from the colonial and regency periods, in addition to porcelain belonging to some holders of the empire, highlighting those that belonged to the president of the then province of São Paulo, Antonio Dino da Costa Bueno (1854 – 1931)”, highlights Molfi. There are, yet, three paintings from the School of Potosí, on sacred grounds, 18TH century.
