Ema Klabin House Museum reopens on anniversary week 466 years of São Paulo

On 25 there will be a Photo Walk in honor of Earth drizzle. The museum also returns with its mediated visits to the collection and an extensive cultural program

The House-Museum Ema Klabin, in Jardim Europa, SP, reopens to the public next day 22 January with visits to the collection and a rich cultural program, after passing through a recess for maintenance and cleaning.

Former residence of the collector and patron Ema Klabin (25/01/1907 – 27/01 /1994), the house was converted into a cultural space with a collection covering more than three thousand years of art history.

Every room in the house inspired by the Palace of Sanssouci (Germany), and designed by Alfredo Ernesto Becker in the mid 50, the visitor is faced with works of great masters of art. Just to give you an idea, the music room there are two works by Marc Chagall: no Country (in the countryside- France- 1925) and Groom With Sleigh and Red Rooster (France, 1957). In the guest room the Tarsila do Amaral frame "Rio de Janeiro" (Brasil, 1923); in the dining room works of Mestre Valentim (Brasil, 21st century. XIX). In the main room a Cândido Portinari frame, Roosters (Brasil, 1940) and a Di Cavalcanti, Female Portrait (Brazil - 1955). In the gallery two paintings by Frans Post: View of Olinda, (Holland, 1650) and Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian (Holland, 21st century. XVII).

Altogether, There are more than 1500 items, among paintings, period furniture, archaeological and decorative pieces.

In the garden, designed by landscape artist Burle Marx, You can attend concerts on Saturdays and delight with a walk in nature and koi pond.

Located at Rua Portugal, nº 43, in Jardim Europa, the House Museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 14h to 18h, with free admission on weekends and ticket to 10 real on other days. The visits may be free or mediated.

Anniversary of St. Paul:

To celebrate the 466 years of São Paulo, will be on 25 January, from the 2:30 pm, of walk Photo by the Jardim Europa neighborhood. The idea is that participants register characteristics of traditional São Paulo neighborhood thinking their relationship with the city's development. It must take a camera that can be the cell.
