In addition to the continuity of the exhibition “Ema and fashion in the 20th century: the clothes and the handwriting of the gestures", the 15 years of opening to the public of the house museum begin to be celebrated in January
Given the good repercussion of the exhibition Ema and fashion in the 20th century: the clothes and the calligraphy of the gestures, the museum house announces the extension of the exhibition, which will be open to the public until 30 January 2022.
As a way to celebrate the 15 years of visiting the museum house and offering an eclectic and current cultural program, the year begins with a series of activities, starting with Permanent Workshop of the educational nucleus, which will be available throughout the entire duration of the exhibition., providing a space where the public, continuing the experience of the visit, can create "pandoras" (traditional paper dolls) e “moodboards” (frame of aesthetic references and inspirations) from your experience. On 15 of January the launch of the exhibition catalog, with the online participation of the involved authors.
Then, on 20, the game is scheduled to be launched Ema Klabin House Museum Workshop, developed within the scope of the Digitization of the Ema Klabin Collection project, which had the support of the BNDES, the co-idealization of Benfeitoria and SITAWI and the partnership of Beenoculus. The game, that allows you to interact with digitized works from the collection, creating a new work from its elements and frames, was developed by the Galactonauts Studio.
On Saturdays 22 and 29, the educational performs the programming Experiencing the Museum: Gesture calligraphy, a special visit to the exhibition that invites the public to reflect and dialogue about clothing and identity, proposing a practical activity at the end.
On 23, Sunday, the special schedule starts Women in Music, partnership between the house museum and the Instituto Arte Plena, directed by pianist Lilian Barretto, curated by researcher Camila Fresca, which will present an overview of female participation in concert music, from the Middle Ages to the present, in composition and interpretation. The first recital will be with Osesp harpist Liuba Klevtsova and soprano Marília Vargas, interpreting works by various composers.
On 25, Tuesday, the city of São Paulo's birthday holiday and also Ema Klabin's birthday, it will be time to share the results of the digitization project carried out in 2021 with the round table Digitization of the Ema Klabin Collection and the digital preservation of collections, which will be an opportunity to share the results of the project and also debate the challenges of digital preservation.
In the day 26, on wednesday, the lecture Fabulations of an exotic Japan in 20th century European fashion will complete the cycle of lectures and special programs associated with the exhibition on display at the house museum.
