House Kozák opens collective exhibition of artists of the Creativity Center

A Casa Kozak, cultural center of Uberaba neighborhood, reopened in September after undergoing renovations and expansion, opens on Friday (28) the exhibition "Ubiquity", that brings together works in ceramics, binding, notch, marchetaria, Mosaic and restoration of wood, artists ateliers of the Curitiba Creativity Center. The artists were invited to exhibit at the new cultural center, establishing an exchange between communities in two different areas of the city.

Curated by Pedro Moreira, the exhibition is part of the CCC project in Motion and has the sense of sharing the creative expression - in this case, inspired by the example of Vladimir Kozák, filmmaker, anthropologist, researcher and scholar of Brazilian Indians. "The art, creative expression, the technique, knowledge of materials are structured because they need, Como Kozak, share", says curator.

Unit Curitiba Cultural Foundation, House underwent extensive renovation and now offers the local community a library and spaces for reading, literary activities, courses and exhibitions. The reform included the reconstitution of all wood structure, with floor replacement, window frames and roof, and also the renewal of electrical systems, hydraulic, logic and telephony. The house now has fire prevention system, accessibility framework for disabled, parking for four vehicles and bike rack.

The property, It was the residence of Vladimir Kozák, belonged to the State Department of Culture and was used by the Cultural Foundation through an agreement. It was definitely transferred to the municipality in December 2013. The Hall itself requested the donation in order to recover the house and reactivate the library. The registration process notarized was completed in December 2014.
