Camerata Antiqua makes presentations at hospitals this Tuesday and Wednesday

The Orchestra and chorus of the Camerata Antiqua of Curitiba are held between 23 and 24, free presentations and open to the general public, at the Hospital das Clinicas, Santa Cruz, Little Prince and the University Hospital Cajuru.

The show dedicated to patients and professionals of hospitals has a repertoire of popular classical works, accessible to all audiences, as Dori Caymmi, Heitor Villa-lobos, Word Sung, Jorge Drexler, among others. The Regency is of Jiyeon Sant'Anna and musical direction of concertmaster of the Orchestra, Winston Ramalho.

"When we were restricted to the concert hall we meet a significant portion of society", highlights Marino Galvão Jr, President of the Curitiba Institute for art and culture, body responsible for the administration of the Group. "All this represents a significant step forward in the dialogue with society. The concerts are a way of Camerata answer those needs, taking culture churches, hospitals and peripheries ", concludes Galvão.

Camerata Antiqua of Curitiba

Considered one of the city's musical symbols, the Camerata Antiqua of Curitiba was created in 1974, by maestro Roberto de Regina – today Emeritus – conductor and harpsichordist Ingrid Seraphim. The initial proposal of exclusive execution of Renaissance and Baroque music was enriched with the addition of a repertoire of contemporary domestic and foreign composers, opening up new musical aspects.

Maintained by the Cultural Foundation of Curitiba-FCC and administered by the Curitiba Institute for art and culture-ICAC, the Camerata Antiqua has a track record of achievements and successes that can be explained by the commitment of its members in the continuous improvement of knowledge and musical techniques, leading the group stand out nationally for the quality and excellence of your work.
