Collaborative notice will contribute R $ 10,000 per selected
and is now available on the website www.benfeitoria.com/bossanossa
Understanding the delicate current scenario in culture, the Bossa Nossa program, created in 2019 by the collective financing platform Benfeitoria to foster cultural producers and artists in Rio de Janeiro, decided to adapt its tools and further expand the impact on the sector, stimulating the resumption of cultural production in this moment of pandemic and social isolation.
For this, a collaborative notice was created, that will select and train six projects through a crowded type of crowdfunding (the kitty online). Known as Match-funding, this new form of promotion multiplies the collection of selected projects via public notice. In this call, selected projects that manage to raise R $ 5,000 from their network will have their collections triple, receiving an additional R$10,000 from the Bossa Nossa Program.
To Tati Leite, co-founder of Benfeitoria, the Bossa Nossa Program – which has already mobilized more than R $ 3 million for projects with the support of 15 thousand people -, is an opportunity for cultural producers to reinvent the way they relate to their audience – e vice-versa: “It has never been more important to come together to make projects that deserve to be feasible – and resist. Collective Financing is more about Collective than Financing. E no Matchfunding, the final curator is the audience, which ensures that only projects of collective interest are contemplated ”, explains Tatiana.
Registration is now open and can be done until the day 10 October, through the site www.benfeitoria.com/bossanossa. Collective can register, natural or legal persons (for-profit or non-profit) linked to the cultural sector, provided they are residents of the city of Rio de Janeiro. To receive the contribution in matchpublic engagement is needed and initiatives need to mobilize, at least, 100 supporters. For each R $ 1 donated, the Bossa Nossa program will contribute an additional R $ 2, until the minimum target of R $ 15 thousand is reached, with at least R$5 thousand collected from the public and R$10 thousand contributed by the Bossa Nossa Fund.
“The amount moved may not be enough for the sector, but the impact goes beyond the selected projects – and beyond financing. Many of the unselected initiatives will be able to carry out their projects in traditional crowdfunding with the individual consultancy that Bossa Nossa offers to Cariocas. Our expectation is that more than 100 initiatives to register ”, says Beatriz Novellino, Bossa Nossa network mobilizer.
“The fundraising campaigns in the last few months were almost exclusively dedicated to meeting social and health emergencies. Therefore, encourage the resumption of cultural production – that never stopped, but slowed down -, has a very important symbolic impact as well”, complements Alluan Costa, project communication coordinator.
The initiatives selected by this call for proposals will receive consulting services from Benfeitoria to prepare and support the dissemination of the fundraising campaign. Because it is the result of a program made possible by the Municipal Cultural Incentive Law, the notice seeks projects that foster or represent the best of “our Bossa”, inside of 19 segments covered by the ISS-RJ Law: visual arts, handicrafts, audiovisual, libraries, cultural centers, cinema, circus, dance, design, folklore, photography, literature, sets, museums, music, multi platform, theater, broadcast, preservation and restoration of natural heritage, material and immaterial.

About Bossa Nossa
The museum was created in 2019 for Improvement, one of the largest crowdfunding platforms in the country, the program runs until December, without a project limit, and has already collected almost R $ 3 millions for 94 crowdfunding initiatives. Adapting to the current scenario, today the program receives projects that need a boost to be carried out, initiatives for the financial maintenance of people, projects and spaces linked to the cultural sector or the creative economy and also initiatives that were created during the pandemic, with creative material (like the virtual pieces, exposures and actions via projections and other insurgent achievements). Bossa Nossa is encouraged by the Municipal Incentive Law of the ISS-RJ, sponsored by Globo, Kappamakki, PSR, Rede D’or and support from the City of Rio de Janeiro and the Municipal Secretary of Culture.
