Artist Karen Valentim started her trajectory through urban arts with the intention of expanding her worldview and the present connection of her ancestry as a woman with black and peripheral indigenous roots. Through natural pigments, mainly, the mineral colors, strengthens itself in this quest to expose the world to its relationship with its people.

Ancestral Memories are works that bring codes and the most intimate mysteries, from the winds of its origins, a cry for freedom amidst the institutionalized Brazilian sociocultural chaos in this period of intolerance that we live. rethink connection, revive the connection, to resurface the manifestation of learning through the wisdoms that are diluted on Earth, but that don't get lost, ever, alive in the mineral itself to be painted and revived, (Re)taking its spaces and origins.
